Blessing of Backpacks on Sept 7th
We will bless the backpacks before delivering them to Russell Elementary School. Have your kids bring their backpacks to be blessed for the upcoming school year!
Backpack Drive Aug 10-Sept 21. Please consider donating a new backpack for a Russell School student. Drop off backpacks or donate money. Look for us at coffee hour or drop off your donation to the church office. Make checks payable to Hancock Church, memo “backpacks.” All items will be distributed to the Russell School the week of September 1st and 21st. Sponsored by the Christian Service Committee. Blessing of the Animals
Worship @the Well happens every Sunday evening from6:15 – 7:00 pm in Clark Hall. The Well begins this year onSeptember 7th with a “Blessing of the Animals” Service. Be sure to come with that special animal in your life for a blessing and a treat!
Hancock’s Junior Youth Organization (JYO) offers discussion, fellowship, and mission projects for middleschool youth. JYO youth also begin in worship at10am and then head to the Upper Room for dialogue and activities ’til 11:00am

Come Celebrate the First Sunday of Advent at Hancock Church!
The kids are hosting coffee hour with decorated sugar cookies and treats for all.
JYO youth will be making sandwiches for The Outdoor Church and all are invited to the
Come one, come all, and share in the hope of the Advent Season upon us.
Come join in the fun, carving and decorating for all ages. Bring your pumpkin(s) to carve we’ll begin at 6pm, pizza will be served at 7pm.

Celebrating Communities of Peace
Kids will explore ways and signs of peace in our world through story and song, and creative play. Throughout the month we’ll be exploring the theme of Congregational Care and Community action in our learning centers, and continue our exploration with stories from Isaiah and Zachariah from the Old Testament. Come join the circle.
